Installation Steps

Windows Installation

  1. Download the Benjee-Assistant-Setup.exe installer from our website
  2. Double-click the installer file to begin installation
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation
  4. After installation, Benjee Assistant will start automatically
  5. When prompted, grant microphone permissions:

    • Go to Windows Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone
    • Turn ON "Let apps access your microphone"
    • Make sure Benjee is allowed in the list of apps
  6. You'll see the Benjee icon in your system tray, indicating that the assistant is running

macOS Installation

  1. Download the Benjee-Assistant.dmg file from our website
  2. Double-click the DMG file to open it
  3. Drag the Benjee Assistant app to your Applications folder
  4. Open the app from your Applications folder
  5. When prompted, grant accessibility permissions:

    • Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility
    • Click the lock icon to make changes
    • Check the box next to Benjee Assistant
  6. You'll see the Benjee icon in your menu bar, indicating that the assistant is running

Using Benjee Assistant

Keyboard Shortcut

Press Ctrl+Shift+S (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+S (Mac) to activate Benjee Assistant at any time.

Voice Transcription

Click the microphone icon in the assistant to transcribe your voice to text.

Settings

Right-click the Benjee icon in your system tray or menu bar to access settings.

Troubleshooting

The assistant isn't appearing when I press the shortcut

Make sure the app is running. Check your system tray or menu bar for the Benjee icon. If it's not there, restart the application.

Voice transcription isn't working

Ensure you've granted microphone permissions to the app. On macOS, check System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Microphone.
